Adam’s success is continuing to grow as on February 26th, 2010 he walked away with the gong for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself at the 2010 NAACP Image Awards. Unable to attend the event due to the current weather in NY, Adam was told of his win before the show aired and he couldn’t wait to thank his fans via social networking site Twitter, “GREAT NEWS!!! Just found out that I won an NAACP Award tonight!!! Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture!!! Yo!!! THANK YOU all Twit Familia for the congratulatory shout outs!!! I'm truly grateful. So happy that this character got to shine!” Adam beat the likes of Danny Glover and Lenny Kravitz to take home the prize!

I thought you were leaving this season. What happened?

ADAM RODRIGUEZ: That was the plan. As we talked about last time, we got to a crossroads last year where [CBS and I] wanted different things. And one thing that was important was going back to finish the character properly. I think when the fans got the news that Delko wasn’t going to be back full-time and when they actually saw he wasn’t back full-time, they felt there was something missing from the show. They were very vocal about that and I have to give credit to CBS that they paid attention to it.

In other words, they met your demands?

RODRIGUEZ: That certainly had something to do with it. I think, you know, a lot of it had to do with both parties even being willing to hash something out. [The first] time, it was really CBS that walked away [from negotiations] quickly. I’m not going to pull any punches, that’s just the way it was. I think that fans really made it known that the show wasn’t the same without Delko. And like I said, CBS was wise enough to pay attention to that and make sure that they kept the chemistry of the show the way the fans wanted it.

Adam has exclusively revealed that he WILL be returning to CSI Miami FULL time for the 9th season which starts in September of 2010. Adam revealed the news to his fans via Twitter. Here at Adam Rodriguez Connection, we would like to thank all fans that fought for Adam’s return via the petition at Facebook and Twitter and thank you to the press for getting the word out further. On January 31st, Adam attended 2 parties in celebration of the 2010 Grammy Awards. Adam attended the Jamie Foxx Post Grammy Celebration at the Conga Room in LA and the second party took place at Boulevard3 for the 3rd Annual Gold Carpet Post Party with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

It looks like Adam’s role as Bobby Talerico on ABC’s Ugly Betty has become so popular that we now get to meet his parents after just a few episodes. Lainie Kazan (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and Nestor Serrano (24) will play Bobby’s Italian parents, Dina and Anthony. Hilda will meet Bobby’s parents in the 15th episode of season 4 in an episode that will see her trying to host a get-to-know-you dinner in their honor.
